    Isn't this what the ID number in your processor was for? And didn't most mother manufacturers make an option to defeat the serial number?

    Now I'm as paranoid as the next guy (more so than most really), but doesn't this just beg for an anti-trust investigation? No open source OS's, etc.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
