Ok so I have a .mov file I want to make a VCD out of, so I go to encode it and everything is working fine, a .m1v and .mp2 file pops up.. then a few minutes later I get an error:

**ERROR: [mplex] Too many frame drops -exiting

Then it stops, but it already made the full .m1v and mp2 files... So I went to the tools tab in ffmpegX and under video tools I put in the .m1v and the .mp2 and press Mux as... VCD. It starts to encode and then I get the same error as before... data will arrive too late sent(SCR)=4131600 required(DTS)=0

So what am I doing wrong? Since I already have the full .m1v and .mp2 files is thier a easy way of making them into a VCD? Thanks in advance to anyone with any help or suggestions.

  2. Your streams doesn't seem VCD compliant, so you should mux them as XVCD.

I'm not any type of pro when it comes to video, but shouldn't a basic NTSC 29.97fps .mov file that I made in final cut pro be vcd compliant? I dunno any help is very much appreciated. Thanks!

  4. If you can upload your clips to some web space so as I can download them, I'll try to test and let you know.

I have a similar set of error messages when trying to convert an 800 MB high quality .MOV from iMovie to an MPEG 2. Were you able to figure out a solution to his problem?

    Thanks!
