error in terminal... avi to vcd

I have tryed to convert an avi movie to mpg .I make all the things good(i think) but when the terminal window open, this line is wrote h: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token `9(40)

after that there's alot of word wrote and at the end of that big paragraph you can read Encoding completed on, but there's nothing encoding. I try to convert my avi movie to svcd and it make the same think.

I have already convert 10 avi movie to vcd with an older version of ffmpeg and why now it doesn't work.

Remove spaces and special characters like ' " ( { [ / from your your filename and path.
