I have converted PAL VCD to mpgs. The size of the file is about 35 MB.
It stops processing the file as soon as BeSweet BeSweet finishes transcoding the file.
Looks like I have bad mpg file.

Is there any way I can validate mpg file before I invoke svcd2dvd+?

I have attached the screen capture from BeSweet window.

Actually this window does disappear and I see svcd2dvdmpg+ as below in the log.
Here is the log from svcd2dvdmpg+:

  2. are you sure you got the right besweet version? 1.5b17 or 1.5b18

There is a virtualdub version (not the origional one but i clone of it) that lets you check mpgs.

The BeSweet version I have is "BeSweet v1.5b18 by DSPguru".

How/ where do I get the virtualdub version?
    Thanks.

I can not find the virtualdubmpeg2ac3. All the link I visited pointed to one place (http://home.attbi.com/~blade66/) and that is dead.

I am really intrested in finding out why it's not working rather that having that vcd converted to dvd.

I used VirtualDub-MPEG2-AC3 and TMPEGEnc to check the mpeg generated from the VCD and it does not seem to have any error/ issue.

What I mean is that those two tools think mpeg file is okay. But when I use that file with svcd2dvdmpg+ I am having issues as I have stated in the beginning.....

    WHY?

    Try using VCDGEAR V3.0

    Rip method: MPEG to MPEG

I have ripped a couple of SVCD / VCD's that will not play in Windows Media Player, after encoding them they play without sound -- Ran them back through VCDGEAR and they play & encode fine

There are two reasons for the app stopping at the muxing stage.

    1) you are using a version of BeSweet other than 1.5b17 or 1.5b18. ANY OTHER VERSION WILL NOT WORK!

    2) your mpg is non standard.

If you are sure #1 isn't the issue, you can send me a sample of the mpeg for me to analyse. Look at my FAQ on how to do this. Make sure that the sample also exhibits this behaviour b4 you send it. Also email me to let me know you have sent something.

    I have the right version.
My issue seems tobe the #2.
I will try to cut the mpeg file and send it to you as suggested in FAQ...after making sure that it has the same behavior...
It may take couple of days.

Is there any specfic tool that can help me to identify non-standard mpeg?

    Anyway, thanks ChrissyBoy.
