..ok, straight from the horse's mouth

    1. Rip both sides with SmartRipper to a single folder (all the files in one folder). Since the main movie on the second side may have VOB files with the same file names as the first side you will first need to put these into another temp folder then re-name them starting where the first side left off, then move the files into the combined folder.
    2. Delete all the files in folder except the main VOB files for both sides.
    3. Rename all the VOB files in order starting with VTS_01_001 then VTS_01_002 and so on.
    4. Use VOBEdit to "Join" the files.
    5. Use IFOEdit on the joined files to "create new IFO's".
    6. Use IFOEdit to "get VTS sectors" on the files created above.
    7. Use DVD2One or DVDshrink or CloneDVD to compress the files in step 6 to a VIDEO_TS folder (you create this) so they will fit on a single DVDR.
    8. Test the resulting files with PowerDVD or WinDVD prior to burning.
    9. Burn the VIDEO_TS folder to DVD.
    10. Enjoy!
***Note: SmartRipper, VOBEdit, and IFOEdit are all free so look in the tools section to get them.

This blurb has been shamelessly ripped off by me from an earlier post by a much better and wiser person than I...

does the real movie have the exact same menus and extras on BOTH disks? if that is true, is there a way using DVDFab to get all the menus, extras on disk 1 and then movie on disk 2 ?

  7. As far as I tried before and was not able to include menu. Some people are saying that you can use DVD lab to include menu but never tried it before. I have decided to copy both disk as it is very difficult to watch dvd w/o menu-B

  9. I'm haveing the exact same problem as VRIC. Shrink does not work if I create new IFO's in IFOEDIT. It say dvdshrink encountered an error and cannot continue this operation Invalid nv_pck: nv_pck_lbn The Reason is: Unknown. What do I do?

Be sure you set second Disk to ID 3 (with VobEdit)

then, in IfoEdit, be sure to click "get VTS Sector) and also be sure to choose a language for the audio track..

I did made this backup.. solution is on another thread in this forum

I may suggest using a good DVD Authoring program which there seems to be a few good ones out there,
myself I have been using TMPGEnc DVD Author, which I believe there is a link for in the tools section on the left

Following is the way that I have been putting 2 movies on 1 DVD:

1st: I process both movies with D21 113 movie only set at 2222mb and I only select the 6ch audio. [after processing with D21 each movie equals approx 2.17gig]

2nd: I then start TMPGEnc DVD Author and import both movies each to there own track
you can then create some really nice menu's and even change the chapter points
[NOTE: With TMPGEnc DVD Author you can import VCD, SVCD or DVD and create a compliant DVD]

3rd: I then open NERO and select DVD iso/udf mode and import the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS
folders created by TMPGEnc DVD Author and burn

    Hope this helps.......
