    I have downloaded and used a program called VIDEOME, I have used it to convert DIVX and MPEG back to AVI, it has 2 pass variable and other options, does rather well. Has anyone else used this product or know more about it?

    VirtualDub also converts Divx and MPEG to AVI file.
    For this, there is no need for 2 pass VBR or anything that complicate. It simply decode the MPEG stream.
    Only the encoding part need to be complicate.

    And NO, I don't know about VIDEOME.
