  1. On my hard drive, I have several SVCD movies and I want to know how to convert it to MPEG1 so that I can get best quality. I have noticed that when you convert MPEG2SVCD's to MPEG1VCD, you do not get the same MPEG2 quality. Please someone help me.

You won't be able to keep the same quality for several reasons.
    1) SVCD has a higher resolution than VCD.
    2) SVCD has a higher bitrate than VCD.
    3) Converting from one MPEG format to another MPEG format will result in quality loss. Even if you are converting from MPEG2 to MPEG2, same resolution/bitrate.

  3. Yes!!! I did it!! I converted MPEG2 SVCD to MPEG1 VCD. The only problem is that my nero sucks and reads vcd's as MEGABYTES, I want to burn SINBAD - Legend Of The Seven Seas on VCD and it is as clear as MPEG2 SVCD. I did it without loss of quality.
