  1. Im aware that it wont be to great of quality (total feature size is around 7.8 gigs).

How would I go about getting the 2 individual parts off the disks, and making 1 big file?

  2. This is only theory as I have never done it myself, Rip the two DVD’s each one in a separate folder use something like dvd2one and really compress it then do the same with the other then use something like Ulead Movie factory to create a new DVD and burn them to one disc. Or use Ulead movie factory or TMPGEnc program to re encode them, make them into vcd but burn them onto a DVD, now that I have done and added a title page.

  3. Here is what I have done in the past using dvd decrypter, dvd2one, and TMPenc DVD Author... I have done this with 3 dvd workout sets as well...

Rip each disk with DVD Decrypter in file mode (Rip all files, not just the movie. Sometimes I have had trouble when I only rip the main movie)
Run them through DVD2ONE - use movie only mode and set disk size to 2200 (This # is assuming that both movies are about the same length - if one is longer than the other you may want to give more space to that one and less to the shorter one. Also you may need to adjust this setting if the results are too big or too small) then select the audio track(s) you want to keep.
Load up TMPGEnc Authoring and load the VOB's you just processed - make a menu if desired and let it process the info and spit out files for you to burn!

I'm assuming you have a working knowledge of all these programs, if you need more info let me know and I'll go into more detail.

The method you explain, can you keep the menu? As you know I have use this method in past with using vobedit to combine dvd and then I have to use InstantCopy or DVDshrink to compress to fit on one dvd. But everytime I loose menu and have to see dvd w/o meny.-B
