Which Sony DRU500A firmware is the latest?

I'm confused by the latest updates by Sony. I updated a few weeks ago to 1.0g and now on their site I see a 2.0f. Which is the latest? I thought they go in alpa order!

2.0f is the latest according to the sony.storagesupport site. Apparently it improves reliablilty and ups the recording speed to that of the new 510.
I downloaded and installed it last week and my drive still works!

Yeah, it's 2.0f. I've had problems, but I don't think they're related to 2.0f. Also, if you're still using the regular RecordNow software that came with the drive, you can upgrade it to RecordNow DX 4.6. Go into RecordNow, click on "Help" then go to the tech support website for RecordNow. It's a free download. You can also get the latest version of DLA (which you'll need to uninstall to update the firmware).

Yep, 2.0f is current. I have to give it to Sony tech support - I was all set to be mad. My DRU500AX stopped working last week. I thought they were giving me the runaround - "Upgrade your firmware, uninstall all DVD burning software, defrag your hard drive, swap your burner so it's the master on the secondary IDE chain (it was slave before) and reinstall." Sure enough, it seems to be working quite nicely now.
