Okay Ive compiled my DVD files using DVD Lab and am ready to write my very first DVD disk, the compiled files are stored on my hard drive. Is it better to write it using RECORD NOW or should I use DVD Lab, does ot make any difference ?
I have a sony dru-510 and will be writing maxell (2x)DVD-R.
Any guidance appreciated.

I've not used DVD-Lab to burn anything I've authored with it. Don't really know why other than the fact that I like using dedicated software for each step.
I might have to give it a try with DVD-Lab and see what the results are. -
DO NOT write with DVDLab -- while there's a chance it may work, there's a good chance it will not.
The writing routines in DVDLab aren't very good, and even the author (Oscar) admits this. Even HE recommends using the burning program that came with your drive.
Use Record Now, make it a data disk, and drag over the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders as root. It will burn correctly."Like a knife, he cuts through life, like every day's his last" -- Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang -
I was going to try it on a re-writable, but thanks for saving me the time.

I've actually tried and burned 2 dvd's with DVDLab. It worked fine for me so far but was a bit slower in writing. The resulting DVD's turned out looking good, but I still probably won't be using DVDLab's burning capability anymore.
