  1. I have converted many PAL SVCDs to PAL XVCDs with TMPEG and all have turned out fine, but TMPEG chokes on one file.

I load it up, have the settings set, hit start, it starts converting but slows down to a crawl at around 20 secs into the process. If I leave it alone, and come back in an hour, the converting time will change from around 3:47 to 79:30. If I try and hit stop, I get a "not responding" message from XP. Not only that, if I open up the task manager, the priority of TMPEG is usually Normal, but after the choke, it drops to Low.

I have converted other PAL SVCDs before and after this event and they all come out fine and in a timely fashion.

I have even run this MPG thru VCDGear mpg->mpg fix errors and it said it fixed 13 errors, but import back into TMPEG still the same choke.

The original seems to be fine, I burned the MPG as an SVCD and it plays fine (my dvd has trouble with PALs 576 resolution though and looks kinda jaggy, that's why I convert to VCD and play in my other player that can handle PAL resolutions but not SVCD) So I decided to copy the avesq1.MPG file from the disk and load that into TMPG, that comes up as unsupported.

I have the environmental settings set up as has been suggested before.

I'm running a 1.5GB P4 w/256MB RAM and I am at the end of my rope, has anyone else experienced this and have a solution?

    I appreciate the help,

Corrupt MPEG. Look in the TOOLS section for programs to fix it.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
