  2. the best card I have tried for vhs tape's is the ATI AIW the only problem is that some NTSC tape's do not display right. The only FIX i know of is to use a world wide vcr send the tape out as pal-m or pal-n then capture as pal-n or pal-n and ever thing should be fine you can get a ati all in wonder for $50.00 dollars at www.pricewatch.com new ati aiw cost around $500.00 or thenew card's are just better for video game's. If your not a games just get the $50.00 dollars one it still play all new games fine

I don't know what you are using to capture with. I use a Pinnacle DV500 and have no problem with audio and video sync. I have heard that
Scenalizer Live is a good capture program for analog and corrects sync problems.

If you have Premier or something like it you can sepparate the audio and video and then adjust as neccessary. Then compress, author, and burn.

like sdlehman said, if the vhs is out of sync, you can just move the audio until it syncs up.

if it is a progressive problem (it starts out of sync but then gets back in sync, or it gets worse out of sync as the program goes on) you may have to split the audio into segments, and align each segment with the corresponding video.

In that case, I would split the audio for each song as a seprate wav file, make sure they all line up, then cut some applause or crowd noise and paste it into a secondary audio track to cover any gaps.
