    I was wondering how these two apps compare.

    I just checked out TMPGEnc DVDAuthor. I was very disappointed to find out that it would not accept files with SVCD resolution! (e.g., 480x480).

    I thought these two apps did the same thing, but I guess not. I'm off to try SVCD2DVDMPG now...

    svcd2dvdmpg makes you vcd and svcd ready to be on a dvd. Upgrading the sound and patching the headers and then let you author a dvd if you want to or just have the patched mpgs.

    tmpgenc dvdauthor just does what the title says. It authors dvds from mpg files that have the right constraints. 48mhz sound and the right size.
