    ntsc
    mpeg1
    is this dvd quality
    when i put it in the dvd player it comes up dvd
    can someone explain this to me please

    Take a look to the left under 'what is DVDR'. The specs you gave do fall within the DVD standard. However, most DVD videos are:

    MPEG2 encoded video at 720x480 (6000-8000kbit/s)
    AC3 encode audio (at 384kbit/s)
