I have an xvid file (23.976 NTSC) that i am trying to encode, when i tried running it through tmpgenc the first time the video was fine but the audio worked for about 10 min in the begining then stopped then worked in the end of the movie, so i split the audio and video, and i used vdub to extract the audio uncompressed but it was about 10 seconds shorter than the video, so i tried extracting the audio directly without uncompressing it, it was about 5 seconds shorder than the video, then i tried runing the xvid through tmpgenc and encoding the audio only to mp2 but it was about 10 seconds longer than video, i know it's gonna be out of synch if i use any of these audio files, do i have to encode the whole video and audio again to get it in synch or is there a simpler solution.
Thanks
Bilal

First, make sure you have no bad frames using Virtualdub. Check the guides section if you're not sure how.
Try extracting the wav using Goldwave, here's a guide.
Check the length of your audio using Goldwave. Check the length of your video using the file information in Virtualdub then calculate, # of frames / frames per second = seconds. Adjust the audio length using the Time Warp function in Goldwave.
