  1. I've been able to get my mpeg file into DVD Workshop and make a DVD. HUGE problem though - the picture and sound are out of sync. What can I do to fix this. I've also managed to make a DVD using MovieAlbum and DVD Workshop except there is a slight 'whistle' to the audio. If someone can explain to me how to use TMPGEnc for editing and burn a perfectly synced DVD, I'll deposit a reward into your PayPal account - no B.S. Like I said, all I need to do is figure out how to sync the audio and video - PLEASE HELP!!!

  2. We need more details, what source are you using? what other tools (audio?) are you using?, what Tmpgenc templates you are using etc... just a step by step account...

  3. Most sync issues are due to people incorrectly converting from 23.976fps/25fps to 29.97fps. So as the above poster said we need more info:

Specs of your source - video resolution, framerate, interlaced, etc.
Settings in TMPGenc - template used and changes made
    How you authored the DVD
How you burned the DVD (although burning shouldn't cause sync problems).

  4. Thanks for replying guys. I'm not familiar with all of the lingo but I'll try and be as specific as I can: I am recording to RAM on my DMR-HS2 from DirecTV. The video resolution shows up as 704x480 and the framerate is 29.97 fps. I have no idea what or where as to the 'template'. Where do I find that? How I authored the DVD? As in recording it on my HS2? I'm inserting it into my Panasonic LF-D521. I'm clicking 'add file'. I'm then going to the drive folder and opening the VR_MOVIE file. It shows up and starts to play but the freezes and stutters. If I click 'add DVD Video' it transfers it to my hard drive, when that's done transferring I can then open up the mpeg file into TMPGenc. Which way is the correct way to do this? I would imagine the 'add file' but it doesn't play back properly. I could go on and on but maybe you want to start with what I've already told you. To sum it up, I'm inserting a RAM disc recorded on my HS2 into my 521. I'm then trying to edit it in TMPGenc but it freezes and won't plsy unless I click 'add video' and it transfers it to my hard drive first and I then open up that file. That's the way I did it when I got the sync problem. I hope I've given you enough info and you have no idea how much I appreciate your help.

  5. I should also add that I've been succesful in making a DVD using MovieAlbum but it adds a slight whistle to the audio and I don't like the editing nearly as much.

  6. Maybe the recorder is using some kind of copy protection?
