  1. Hello everyone. Finally got a Card with TVIN and I'm not having all the fun I thought I would be.

    Im using:
AMD 1.1ghz, 512 Mgs Ram, ATI Raedon 64 DDR

    Followed ATI walkthrough.

10 Seconds into a capture same frame will repeat while sound goes on through. Also theres a slight space at the top edge of the capture showing new frames while the bottom majority of it still repeats same visual frames.

    Any suggestions please.

  2. Macrovision.

If you are using Win98 and PAL, you are stuffed. If you are trying to capture a macrovision-encoded source, then that is your problem. If your source is legitimate, I would take back the card and get an alternative.

I have tried for 2 months to get a Radeon AIW to capture from a number of legitimate sources, including all the hacks going and even a macrovision stripper, and still no joy. Despite being comparatively clunky, and not without it's foibles, at least my WinTV PCI Radio card works.

Does your MB use the VIA chipset? If so, then you may want to go to their website and download the updated MB drivers. This didn't fix it for me, but you may have better luck. According to ATI, the AIW's have a problem with some of the VIA chipsets.
