  1. I am using PowerVCR II to capture my video with an ATI Tv TUner card. The only problem I have is that it splits my video up into two different mpegs when I capture. How can i stop it from doing this?

  2. Check out this thread. I did it yesterday and it works. Not sure what happens when you hit the NTFS limit (is there one?) but I successfully captured a 3GB file with no problems.

Nope. In theory I think there is but I routinely make 50 -60 GB AVIs on my win2k machine...

Why would you use Power VCR instead of the ATI MMC?

The PowerVCR II is far inferior to the ATI MPEG options and quality. The MPEG2 is blended deinterlace in PowerVCR, as well as known issues with macroblocking. The newer MMC 8.1 is great, as was the older MMC 7.7. (Only use 8.5 if you have a powerful system and you've got time to aggravate with setup time.)
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

PowerVCR is "okay", but WinDVR 2/3 is better, IMO. PowerVCR II has some kind of problem where it captures at a full 30fps but reports 29.97 in the header, and gives me all kinds of problems. Basically I've never been able to use its output files without severe audio sync probs, whereas some people never have a problem with it. I do a plenty of cap on Win98SE where MMC isn't that great.

NTFS file/volume limit is something like 2 TB if I recall, or unlimited for all intents and purposes on most systems.
