I captured a video from my miniDV into Premiere6.
I believe it made an avi file.
The problem is when I try to open it in TMPGEnc, it doesnt recognize the format.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is it not an avi file?

I seem to recall reading about a plugin that allows the output of Premiere to be read as the input of TMPGEnc.
Doing a site search for "Frameserving" I found this giude:
http://www.videotools.net/guides/guide_premiere_tmpgenc.php
Hope this helps.--

After you captured, did you place your file in the timeline and then go file - export timeline - movie - then create the avi? Or did you just capture close Premiere and try to take that file into TMPEGne?

I just tried to load it from my computer after I created the timeline/file.
I see what you mean by going through Premiere.
Ill give it a try.
Thanks
