Hi All. I hope someone can answer this for me.
I first ordered 100 Supermedia True 2X for my Pioneer 105 and all went well. I have an old Apex 600AD with a firmware update to play DVR-Rs. I have found that if a DVD-R plays in that, it will play in almost anything.
Next I ordered another 100 Supermedia True 2X from Supermedia. This time about the first 75 played in my Apex 600AD, the last 25 would not. And they would not play in as many other stand alones.
Next I ordered 100 MediaPro 2X DVD-Rs. About half way through, the same problem. By the way, they all seem to play in my PC DVD drive, so I'm not making coasters. I haven't actually found 1 BAD DVD yet.
Has anyone else experienced problems like this with DVD media. I thought that if I ordered a bulk order, they would all be the same. And is there anything that can be done about this?
Thanks in advance.

Sometimes, DVD media manufacturers act smart
They put two different manufacturers' media in one spindle.
Here's what you should do to see if you are being gipped:
Download DVDInfo (just search google) and run a DVD that works through it and then run a DVD that doesn't work through it.
If the one that works and the one that doesnt don't have matching manufacturers, then you are being gipped. In this case, contact your supplier.
Hope this helps.
