Technika DVD-300 does it play VCD?

Just having a look at the dvd-300 from Technika and was wonderin' if it plays vcds?? it says on the side of box will play cdr/cdrw and then in brackets (mp3/jpeg) no mention of VCD...will it play em...help needed!!

I'll answer the question myself as A. I've just bought the player at Tesco for 59.99 pounds sterling and B. No one seems t answer ya posts here...Yes it does play VCD's, mp3, cd/r, cd/rw, Jpeg piccie discs..the whole caboodle..BUY IT..I owned an LG 3200e which i paid 170.00 for and u know what? the picture/sound, seek time, build, ease of use piddles all over that Lg player.

Have you been able to make it accept any region DVDs? Got a "crack" but it dosen't seem to work
