I too, tackled the problem of NTSC to PAL, unsuccessfully, until I read one of Adam's earlier post about it being unnecessary. He's right! I sent my NTSC DVD to a friend in PAL land and she had no problem playing it on her DVD player and TV.

I still encode as PAL, because I want maximum resolution but keep the framerate at 30fps.
This works a treat. -
adam I have come across a vob file which has it all. Ntsc and FILM% in different ranges. I managed o convert the video part of it using virtualdubbut the Audio would not snyc. Any help as to how to sync this nightmare. I dont mind what framerate its now since I have a dvd player whcih plays XVID files. I convert all my movies to XVID, but this one is proving to be a pain. I tried using vitualdub for audio but it was progressively off I thing.
