Have a cheap TV card - PCTV Rave. This will capture both video and audio. Can not get Virtualdub to capture using this card so that I can use better video compression (PicVideo) and noise filters. Any help gratefully received.
Athlon 2100+, 256MB, Win xp.

Are you getting an error messages?
Do you hav any software that came with the card?
If so, open that first and then close it, then try Vdub.
Other sugestion is you might need the WDM wrapper.
I have no idea what the hell this does but I know I had to install it to use Vdub, and I have to open my ATI 'Video In' software first so Vdub will work.
