Ok some may remember the problems with Ritek and my DVR104 that made me send it back. They said nothing was wrong and sent it back to me. Long story short it would not burn cheap media (which meant Ritek G03 at the time) But the high quality stuff was fine. In the end I called it a wash and purchased a DVR105 thats been great. BTW Riteks were tried with hacked and unhacked firmware and 1x as well as 2x with the same problems freezes at random places on the disc. Different burn software was tried also.
However a friend of mine was curious about the decent results I got with my testing on Optodisc and decided to order 100 of them. I traded a few riteks for some to test more with and low and behold. They burn fine on my 104. Very strange.
Has anyone else had their burner just decide to stop using a media that previously worked perfectly well seemingly at random?
