Anyone made a mp3 dvd to work like a mp3 CD in a stand-alone dvd player that's mp3 compatable? If so what program did you use?

It depends on the player itself, not the program you use. There are only a very few players that have this capability (Mintek 1600, Koss 2165).

My Panasonic DVD-CP72 player will play Mp3 CD's burned on a CD-R and a CD-RW created with Nero Express. I just wasn't sure if there's a program with the option to burn a MP3 DVD. Or if anybody has done it. I think I'll give it a try tomorrow using Nero Express and a DVD-RW. I already know my player will read a DVD-RW with a movie burned to it.

I have the CP-72 also Mr.Wheelie and it WILL NOT work. Only a very small few will do it. Of course it will play them off a CD-R but a DVD-R or -RW is a totally different animal. The player will look for VTS files when it detects a DVD-R(W), so MP3s will not be read. But if you insist on trying, burn away.

I just baught the Apex PD-650s last week and it plays everything.
Used a Comp USA brand DVD-R and put about 550 mp3's on it using
RecordNow Dx in data mode. Works like a charm. I even had some
short non compliant mpegs on it and it played them also. I think I should
be able to get another 600-700 on a disc also. I haven't tried
the disc in my standalone JVC yet but I'll let you know. -
There is a good thread about a Cyberhome DVD player that supports MP3 on DVD with long filename supported (very unusual). See it:
Right Here
I have a Norcent DP300 that supports mp3 on DVD-R/RW, but it only lists 8 characters on the TV. Makes it difficult to navigate through the 1000's of mp3's. And yes, all (ok, 99%) of my MP3's are legit...my wife and I have accumulated nearly 600 CDs in the past 10-12 years.
Just b/c I'm the "mp3superfreak" doesn't mean I'm the "mp3stealin'freak"!!

I just tested my Toshiba SD-3900 ($100 at target) and it plays a DVD-MP3 that i burned about a year ago with recordnow Max. Just burned as a data DVD and it played. It also supports WMA. Its a hellaofalot better than cybersonic. has progressive scan, dolbydigital, dts and optical out.
Media: Ricoh 2.4x dvd+R
Burner: Ricoh MP-5125A
Windows XP Pro
AMD 1800+
1024 MB DDR SDRAM
120 GB WD Special Edition

fmctm1sw,
LOL, nowhere near 2000 mp3's. I was just curious.
Seargeant,
Your right. I tried burning a mp3 dvd and burning mp3's to dvd as a data dvd. The CP72 would not read either. I was just curious since I found out the CP72 would play a SVCD and a DVD-RW when the manuial says it won't.
