    Are there any programs out there like Studio 8 that have a function of allowing you to select a video file and (using composite tv-out capabilities of my Pinnacle MovieBox) output that to your tv/vcr?

    ATI All In Wonder settings in the Control Panels allow you to select your output display, including tv.
