i've searched google, and the vcdhelp archives and such, and cant find anything on this:
"index of scan line is out of range(384)"
ok, info: .avi in Xvid codec, trying to encode to any format (vcd, svcd, and tried the kvcd template). it only happens when i try to change the source range. any ideas? any help is much appreciated!

well, i tried to change it to the huffy codec like you suggested, but it wasnt there, so i used divx instead. it worked! thanks for your help!

Be aware that when you recompress a file (xvid>divx) that there is always a loss in quality.
That's why huffy codec was suggested, it's close to lossless compression, unlike divx.

so i just download the huffy codec and vdub will be able to use it?
thanks!
