  1. I am following 'The Cretin's Guide' method of ripping and burning DVD to DVD+R/RW and have encountered problems. B4 starting I reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled Win98se ( with no reported errors) and everything seems fine. I downloaded DVD decrypter and ReMpeg2 and followed the steps. Files ripped out to the C:drive no probs. Edited sample.cffl file no probs, open ReMpeg2, load sample.cffl and nothing happens (step 16 in the guide). I then noticed an ie6 error icon followed by "DRIVEC:\(FAT32) does not support files > 4GB" and on the next line "WNASPI32.DLL Adaptec's Aspi Layer-ASPI for Win 32 (95/NT)DLL version4.71.1.0". I am a complete novice and chose this method as it seemed quite straight forward. I need assistance in plain English (Does he take sugar-type speak) please.

Rempeg2 is an old and very erratic program. It's output is often very poor but sometimes good. Today there are much better and faster ways to convert a DVD. Programs like DVD2ONE will convert the entire DVD in 30 minutes with excellent qaulity,REmpeg2 can take from 9-24 hours.
DVD2ONE is $45.00 shareware but there is a freeware program called DVD Shrink that is similar.
