  1. k..... i've looked around and i can't really find any info on this...
    my dad just came back from europe and he haas a sotore bought vcd.... but the damn thing is in PAL... whats the best way to convert it to NTSC without loosing and quality?????

    The first thing I would suggest is just sticking it in your player and trying to play it. A lot of US players can play PAL just fine. The problem is that not all of them can output an NTSC signal for your TV from a PAL source, so it still may not work.

    You can't convert it without losing any quality because you'll have to reencode. How much of a loss you'll take depends on the material, it may still be acceptable to you. It's a pretty straightforward frame rate conversion, from 25fps to 23.976fps. There's a general guide for it:
