Iomega DVD +R/RW/ Nec ND1100a

I just bought this and can't get it to burn. I'm trying to convert 8mm analog to DVD +R. I'm using Aver EZ DVD Maker. Everything is ok until it's time to burn. The Media is not recognized. I've tried Ritek DVD +R 4x, and Memorex DVD +R 4x.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Try to re-install the drivers for your drive and upgrade to the latest firmware.

To re-install the drivers:

1. Go to Control Panel --> System --> Device Manager

2. Under the CD-ROM devices, delete the old drivers and re-start

I'm running W 2KP so reinstalling drivers probably won't help. I'll uninstall and reinstall the drive and see what happens.

Does the program you are using to burn the software recognize the drive as a burner or just a reader? I know with roxio that you must always keep up with the patches for it to recognize your burner as a burner.

It probably is the software that you are burning with...if there is no update...try a different software such as nero
