  1. i have read through the forums quite a bit and there is varyed information on my question, which is, When converting to MEG2 to burn to DVD from Div-x will there ALWAYS be a audio delay problem...?

If so..... do i run the audio AND video through Virtualdub stripping it way from each other and saving as seperate files? or just take the audio?

Thus putting them back together as one complete happy shiny well behaved DVD?

This may well be answered in the "HOW TO" section of the site, but i could see anything......

So any info on these questions would be much appreciated.....

No, converting a divx does not always result in an audio delay. Usually that indicates that something is wrong, like bad frames.

You should strip out a wav file and use that as the audio source, no need to bother with the video at all. I prefer Goldwave for wav extraction as Virtual dub has problems with VBR-MP3 audio and cannot convert AC3 audio. Check the Guides section on how to use Goldwave.

If everything goes as planned then TMPGEnc should create a shiny, happy mpeg for you to author to DVD.

  3. Right thats cool, i have goldwave already, although i have tryed to use it, when i converted the audio i just got a large offensive hissing sound? even with the AC3 codec installed?

As for Authorising the DVD, i know there is plenty of good programes out there and you have to find the one best suited to yourself, but what are the most reliable and easiest to use?

    Many thanks......
