I'm fairly new at capturing, so I'm not sure of the problem. I was capping fine with VirtualDub a few months ago, but I formatted my computer recently and now, when I try to cap something in VirtualDub, the frames are dropping like crazy. The thing is, I don't remember what settings I had previously. I'm running an Athlon Gig Thunderbird with 640mbs of RAM. Are there any preliminary settings I should check so that I can cap without dropping frames this bad? I installed the Huffyuv Codec because I think I had that on there before, but that didn't seem to help out the frame loss. Any suggestions?

Make sure you're actually USING the Huffy Codec and not capturing UNCOMPRESSED. =|
