    How Long does it take to convert from asf to mpeg ?
    im using tpmeng the latest ver and its been 5hrs now and its on ly at 8% ??
    at this pace its going to take 2 days ??
    any help would be appreicated
    i have also some RM files that i wanna convert to avi then to mpeg
    but have had no luck
    any help is appreciated

    What's your CPU/ram situation. I have a K6-2 400 and it takes about 4.7x the runtime to encode using the standard VCD template, if I start playing with things it can take 28x the runtime (2pass VBR VCD min=0, ave=2500, max=2700 at 720x480).

    Do a search for 'how long' 'encode time' etc. and see what comes up. From Sefy's newbie guide on how to burn VCDs he states 6hrs on a Duron 800 from a 120min movie (IIRC).
