anyone know if there is a way to manually set the buffer for a dvd-rom ==> hardrive... i have always had problems with skipping when playing dvds with any dvd software, and it apears to be like a buffer underrun or somethin causeing it. ive tried many OSs, players, drivers, IRQ configs, settings, replaced hardware, cables... NOTHING works!
im to the point now that i just want to hide the problem if i can, i dont care if i fix it...

1. What are your PC specs? Anything less than a PII 300 will have a hard time decoding a DVD in real time.
2. Are you sure that DMA is turned on for your DVD drive?
