I have a dat file from a win archive and I multiplexed it in TMPGENC.They are both the same length. When I play the dat in windows media player it shows a total time of 36 minutes. When I play the multiplexed version of the same file it shows 40 minutes. But heres where it really gets weird. When I then play them in power dvd the dat file of 36 minutes shows 45 minutes when I click to the end of file and the multiplexed file stays at 40 when I click to the end.I have a dell computer p4,512 ram,2.53 gh,running windows xp home. The file is an svcd file and I have done this numerous times before with no problems.I have the elecard codec but it has expired and runs the bouncing box when I play svcds.Could it be causing havoc in other areas?I say this because a couple weeks back I noticed that when I click to near the end of some video files the time shows the file should end but it keeps playing for seconds and sometimes minutes.Any ideas?
