I downloaded some movies and tried to convert them into VCD but TMPGEnc can't open the files. Looked at the framerates to determine if it is PAL or NTSC and saw that it has a framerate of 12,500. What kind of rate is that. Is there a way to "fix" this. Oh, and by the way, it is pretty low quality but would still like to know since I have some other avi's with the rate of 20,000 frames that I have problems with too. Thanks in advance![]()

I've been recently having a framerate problem too. My framerates, strangely enough, are like -3250 fps! This isn't all the time, I've only had a handful in the past, they were all negative numbers though. I'm able to play them on some software players, and not on others. When it plays, they play fine; but scrubbing ahead is usually a no no. Premiere is the only app that seems to recognize the movies in their entirety from beginning to end. Other apps, like virtual dub or tmpgenc, recognize the very first frame, but for some reason truncate the movies about 4/5 of the way thru. Very odd, any clues out there? By the way mille_3, there are a couple framerate changers at http://www.divx-digest.com/software/index.html

Yeah, the DivX has errors. You can try one of the DivX fixers. I've had better luck opening the DivX file in VDub, then extracting the audio and either re-keying the video or trying to extract it as well. This seems to work ~75% of the time.
