  1. If you have any of this DVDs, i'll very apreciate an screenshot captured with your ADVC-100 in the original DV Resolution, using your standalone DVD player (Composite).

    -Morning View Session
    -Terminator 2
    -Armageddon
    -Fellowship of the Ring ( Full-Screen )
    -Hannibal
    -Silence of the Lambs
    -Time out with Britney
    -Smashing P ( Video Collection )
    -Silverchair Videology
    -Celine Dion
    -Ninja Turtles 1
    -Iron MAiden - Raising Hell
    -Korn - Asylum

( Don't use print screen ) extract the original frame from the (DV AVI) and put it in the exact resolution.

I need to compare with the ordinary 720x480 TV Cards.

    Thanks...

  2. You are probably not getting any responses due to the fact no one is playing their DVD's through the ADVC100.

  3. If you want to get a DVD to your computer, use your DVD-ROM.

  4. SUBJECT : "If you have an ADVC-100, i need a screenshot of your capture"

    this means:

i'm trying to compare the 720x480 resolution of the ADVC-100, with the traditional 720x480 of TV cards, i need to see, how sharp is the image compared with the other cards.

i really want to know that i'm going to get the results i want.

    wich's the science, if i transfer a movie throught my DVD-ROM ?

my DirectTV decoder doesn't have a DVD-ROM inside, to extract VOB files.

    LOL :P

  5. Not sure if this will help but check on the Forum on doom9. Some one posted a single frame and about 3 seconds worth of footage of a test pattern capture with a ADVC-100 box.

    Actualy the quality was good.

  6. Its may be what you are looking for.

PS: Check your playback setting. Mr Gates did a nasty joke of setting the codec to 1/2 rez and you need to check it to make sure its set for full. Else it looks like a poor quality VCD or EP VHS copy.

  7. i've read in many posts that the advc capture is a little dark, so basically, i have to compare that, with a dvd screenshot.

Right now is not to relevant the screenshots of one of the DVD's i have in list, any screenshot of DVD source could be fine.

I can rent them, and take my own screenshot.

The picture sharpness, compared with an original DVD source is what's freaking me out, i don't really beleive this card can capture so equal to the source.

Those kind of products are not to popular in Latin america, i have to import them. That could be 500$ for me. is a risk that poor people can not take
