  2. Just use the wizard until you get to the final screen just before you begin to encode. Then, cancel the wizard and select "load" at the bottom of the screen and load the "unlock" template. Then, select "save" and name the template a particular name, so you won't overwrite the standard templates. When you next open TMPGEnc, you should see your previously saved template in the "other" section when the wizard reappears again. Then, you should be able to change any and all of the settings to those you desire. Just bear in mind that you will now be creating a non-standard vcd or "xvcd."

  3. Oh, I forgot to tell you to save your personalized template in the "extra" folder in TMPGEnc, so it will show up in the "other" section of the wizard.

  5. You are saying the file is way too big are you asuming that you can only get 700MB of VCD on a 700MB CDR, is so this is incorrect. You can get almost 800MB (or 80mins) of VCD on a 700MB CDR without overburning and if you overburn more than that. See if your burner supports overburning and if it will overbun the extra 20MB (2 mins) of video. I have never overburned quite this much, I think the most I have done is about 815MB or 81min30sec but its worth a shot.

Im sure Im doing somethin wrong... can u explain to me how Im suppose to do this in recordnow max? I have a Toshiba SD-R5002 DVD-rw burner. I would think I could do overburning

If you want to make your mpeg a little smaller rather than overburning, here's a guide.

You can skip the ripping part at the beginning of the guide since you already have a source file.
