shit, you need to get some degrees and shit, and some real professional knowledge and shit. maybe you could learn scenarist and shit. its the shit that the pro's use and shit. the kind of shit that you would need to create professional dvd9's and shit cost thousands of dollars and shit.. if you need dvd9's created and shit, you should probably buy a DLT machine and shit and have it sent out to a replication and shit. but shit man, they want large orders (thousands and shit).. so i guess you're shit out of luck..

A degree and experience. Knowledge of many systems, including MAC, AVID, WINDOWS NT-based OSes, and maybe SGI. Ability to quickly learn proprietary software and concepts. You must know analog concepts as they apply to digital, and vice versa. We don't expect everything, but we are not a school (you've got to do that part on your own).

Another definite requirement is professional attitude.

What you know at home and what you'd do at work are normally not even the same. My hobby at home and my work at work have almost zero in common. My work knowledge is mostly useless at home, and my home knowledge is completely useless at work.

We don't "burn" DVD9 discs. They are pressed from a DLT master. Only when runs are small and content is DVD5 in nature do we break out the duplicators (which are armed with Pioneer DVD-R General drives and silver-topped media that we then send on to the screenprinter).

This is NOT as easy as most people think.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.

i wanted to make video games for a living, until I learned to hate C++. it's amazing how much joy can be taken from a process when you learn the nitty gritty. the home stuff we all use is cake, just remember that.
