hi guys, like i say this could be the most stupid question yet,but i am a total newbie so please bare with me.
i have just encoded an avi to mpeg, using tmpegenc, burned it using ez cd creator 5 platinum, and all i can find on the disk are some empty folders, and a .dat file.
my question is, will this play on a standalone dvd player,(phillips dvd622,which will be purchased soon) or do i need to do some more work on the file(which plays ok on wmp).
sorry for the ignorance of the question, but we all have to start somewhere.
help me obi-wan kenobi, your my only hope.

    regards

Depends on which format you chose - VCD or SVCD. The file and folder structures are a little different. It looks like you chose the VCD format.

I agree, try it. If it works, great.

One suggestion, use CDRWs. Mistakes with CDRs can create a bunch of coasters.

  5. I dumped creator and went nero. Creator is unforgiving when creating s/vcd.

AFAIK, EZCDCreator will only work if it´s a legit copy...
Non-legitimate copies of the software will produce coasters like the ones you´re describing... I may be wrong, though...

  8. Mine was legit, straight from roxio pre-order. And after learning how much better svcd is, creator was history.
