  1. I am trying to install my DAC100 and having trouble getting Scenalyzer or any other software to recognize it. It is plugged up to the power, I have the DIP's set correctly and plugged into the IEEE 1394. In running the hardware installer I set it up for the IEEE 1394, but it does not find anything. My HTPC is a Athlon XP 2000 with an A7N8X Deluxe Motherboard.

Is there something I need to do to activate the firewire on my motherboard?

    Any ideas?

  2. You did turn it on right? Just making sure.

Also, the red lights up front, the one on the left should be set to AV. Altho the system should reconize the DAC either way. What OS are you running?

I had the same problem. Needed to pull out the card and reset it back in.

Check you device mnger make sure there is no conflict.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

  3. Yes the power is on (I checked for the lights). The Device Manager is not showing anything. I guess I will need to open the computer up to check the connections inside. My firewire connection is not a PCI type, it is just an extension of the motherboard.

  4. I got the problem solved. The IEEE was disabled in my BIOS. The captures are great mostly. The only problems I am having now is when I play it back the fast moving scenes have artifacts or jagges. This was with Media Player 9.

Is there another DV player that works better than WMP9?
