Have I permanently damaged this DVD?
After ripping with smartripper, the original DVD won't play in my computer citing "key exchange for copy protection failed"
However, another DVD I ripped plays fine...!
Anyone?

Well, since DVD is a read-only media, you can't possibly have damaged the disc itself. Maybe a software issue of some sort...

there is no way you damaged the dvd by ripping it... dvds that you buy are read only... just like cds are (oviously with the exception of cd-rws)... for the error i dont know... but the dvd should be fine.
