  1. It has probably been asked a thousand times but what is a good program to use to make multiple copies of DVD-Rs?

  2. It has been asked a thousand times. A perfect FREE application is dvddecrypter. You can find that on the left under TOOLS

  3. If it's a DVD-R, then it doesn't have any encryption, right? So why can't you just open the DVD on your hard drive and copy the video_ts folder to a specified location on your computer. This is what I do at least.

Then I make a data disk using veritas burning software and it copies all of the things in the video_ts to the new DVD-R. This seems so simple to me it almost seems wrong. But it works fine on my DVD player. As you can tell this is my first post on this forum and my knowledge of these things is limited. I'd like to know if this is done by others, and if not, why?

    Thanks guys

  4. If it has no encryption then you should be able to do a straight forward disc copy in software such as Nero.

  5. Yeah I thought about just trying it with Nero but I figured I should ask ahead so whenever I try to do it in the next day or so I can be ready. The whole DVD R thing is still new to me but as I keep on messing I realize it's not much different than a regular CDr. At least as far as I can tell. I'm using the same programs as I done before I bought it, etc.

Nero's DVD-COPY works just fine. I use it a lot because I make copies of home movies, wedding videos, etc. that I create with Video Explosion Deluxe and MF2. It's funny how boring this stuff is to all my friends and family until AFTER the final product - then they ALL want copies

  7. I just use RecordNow Max and do a disc to disc copy and it works every time even at 4x speed.

  8. i use nero and if you plan to copy often choose the save image file feature, then save the image where you like, go to file <burn image and burn the image straight to disk as many as you want! ive done 10 at a time and its a good stable copier

  9. I've heard that writing directly from your DVD drive is not the best idea (falsely?).

I have always just copied the files to my HD and used my favorite burning software.
