Tomorrow is my graduation party and after that I'll have money to spare . I've been wanting to buy a new standalone palyer andI wanted to get some suggestions on what I should buy. Please tell me what player you have, how much you paid for it, and if it plays vcd's on cd-r or cd-rw's(because thats all my burner will burn).

Go to the different stores you plan to shop at. Then, take down all the brand/model numbers of the players they sell. Look up each one on the left column under "DVD players". Find the one that best suites your needs.
