  1. Here's an example:

    http://www.yourgiftstore.net/testclip.mpg

I can't figure out why it sounds so bad and it's not the volume setting in the bottom right corner. I have a $30 Muse PCI sound card and haven't heard anyone else mentioning anything about this card. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi

You tralking about the cloud in the picture ? I would think its being picked up from your capture card, do you have another video equipment connected to the same line ?

Other than that, there is nothing wrong with the sound, it played 100% !

  3. Can someone else confirm that this sounds 100%? I listen to it on my computer and it sounds airy, almost like the sound is in the distance and there's a muffled sound on top of it. I don't hear this on any other MPG video that I download, but anything I capture sounds this way to me. Can someone else confirm/deny that the sound is correct?

  5. I wanted someone else's opinion because I don't understand the problem. At home the file I record doesn't sound nearly as good as other people's MPGs that I download. At work the sound is better but we have horrible sound setups so I was wondering if anyone else could hear the airy spacy sound that I hear on top of only the MPGs that I capture myself.

I used Windows Media Player 7.1 to see/hear the sample and noticed the annoying hissing sound and the video artifacts.

Some audio cards are not indicated for capturing, as they donīt meet the signal/noise requirements.

You can use Sonic Foundry's Sound Forge to filter the noise.

    Good luck.

Iīve never used Sound Forge, actually, but it claims to be able to filter frequency ranges defined by the user.

You can download the manual in:
    http://www.sonicfoundry.com/download/step1.asp?CatID=12

    Good luck.

  9. Actually I went to the store yesterday and bought a Sound Blaster Audigy MP3 card and all the problems are gone. So I guess it was my sound card... anyways, it works now but thanks for all the help.
