When using IC7 and saving the files to hard drive to write later, after I delete the files I lose 1 gig of space on my hard drive. No files are left on the drive but I lose a gig of space. I have show hidden files so that is not the problem. By chance I defraged the drive and in the defrag the file does show up as A00013645.....pdi. I'm running Windows XP Home. In computer management the drive is shown as healthy (active). Does anyone have any ideas on this problem? I sure hate reformatting the drive every so often to get the space back and I really can't store anything else on the drive.

  2. have you got norton antivirus running?

if so, i had the same problem and it was norton holding back.

open norton and in options find where you can disable recycle bin protected files.

I don't have Norton. I have McAfee so I'll check there and see if there is a setting I can change. I have no problem deleting the files I can see though.

I have even the system files showing and the recylce bin does show up on my d drive but nothing is in it. I'm thinking this is some kind of temp file that's not getting erased or something. I'm at a loss.
