So now I can use this great software and It works wonderfully, but I am using it to encode quicktime (dv.pal) in mpeg-2 and once is done I have a quick time encoded file that doesn't play because it says mpeg-2 is not supported... BUT likely I also have a vlc file that plays back beautifully BUT with no sound no matter what I tried in the sound tag (mp2-AC3-passthrought).
Is there a way to get the sound too?
I am working on a G4 Mac with Mac osx

Name your file with a .dv extension and try to encode again.
