Newbie question - frame grab from DVD?

Hey I just want to grab a few frames from my favorite DVD to use as a background for my computer. I think this may be too basic for the FAQs and guides here, I've looked through them but I can't find anything.

Of course, I'm probably blind....

Is there an easy way to do this?

Any mods think there's a better place for this post, please move it.

I think powerDVD might do that. There a free 14 day trial....
