  2. U can use tmpgenc: unlock the settings >> load wav >> choose audio only >> Start. Results sould be mp2. Then use bbmpeg to mux mp2 & mpv. See how to make s/vcd with bbmpeg.

On a related topic, sometimes I get an error when using TooLame in TMPGEnc, and then I would have to close TMPGEnc. Anybody run into the same problem. It only happens occasionally on my system, but it causes problems since I often do batch encodings, therefore resulting TMPGEnc being 'dead' before when the batch encode ends. I'm running Windows XP, btw.

So... Anyone have the same experience with TooLame crashing occasionally? Or know of a 'fix'?

  7. Unfortunately, it's something about the WAV file - it's very consistent when it happens.

There are 2 things you can do - use TMPGEnc without Toolame in this case, or there is a program called wav2mp
(http://www.mnsi.net/~jschlic1) that seems to do a reasonable job.

My guess is that anybody ripping the same DVD gets the same results.

If there's anybody who works on TooLame out there - I'd be happy to provide information on duplicating the crash.
