  1. Hopefully someone can help me. I play mpeg 2 files back in windows media player 9. But lately I have noticed there is some jerkiness in the playback. and this jerkiness is messing up my conversions. But when i play the files back in power dvd, the files play nice and smooth. Is there a way to get rid of wmp 9 or configure it to use the codec that power dvd uses?

It probably already does, since WMP has no mpeg2 decoder of its own... How would WMP problems cause problems with conversions?

  3. Actually wmp 9 uses the ulead codec to play back mpeg2. I messes up the conversion because procoder uses the same codec that wmp 9 uses, I think. And the jerkiness or hesitation shows up during the conversion. As the conversion happens this hesitation causes a pause in the encoding but the encoding of the audio does not stop so the sound goes out of synch.
